Our story
Grosvenor Tutors is a bespoke educational consultancy and tutoring service. We offer advice and assistance from 7 plus through to university, always thoughtfully tailored to the needs of our
clients.
We know that a one-size-fits-all model of education and tutoring does not work. Our size and approach enable us to get to know our clients – their aspirations, learning style, and individual needs. We put these at the heart of how we deliver, ensuring the students we work with feel empowered in the process.
The founder, Katie Sunley
Katie set up Grosvenor Tutors to help motivated parents achieve outstanding and realistic objectives for their children.
Katie was born and raised in London, and educated at a London day school. Having qualified as a solicitor at Linklaters and worked as an in-house lawyer and divorce mediator, Katie moved into education. She found a passion and a talent in navigating the academics of her three sons and their widely varied interests and learning styles. Her success led fellow parents to ask for help and advice, and slowly Grosvenor Tutors was born.
Katie is still at the centre of Grosvenor Tutors. She and her team are informed by her strong sense of the sector built from decades of experience, enabling them to stay on top of its constant evolution and ahead of changes to come.

Our clients have found this invaluable – whether they have been educated in the UK themselves but have inevitably lost touch with exam processes and schools' reputations, or are international clients relocating to the UK or who want their children to be educated here.

We pool our tutors in their areas of particular expertise to ensure we send you the most experienced and qualified tutor for your individual needs. We always think long and hard about a match in dynamic with tutees, beyond the standard relevant academic and teaching experience required – we will send you someone who will serve not only as a tutor but as a mentor and role model for your child.

We have a track record of success at many schools. For boys these include Eton, Winchester, Harrow, Wellington, Charterhouse, Westminster, St Paul's, City of London, Highgate, Dulwich College, Latymer Upper and King's Wimbledon for boys. For girls, we regularly help our clients achieve places at Wycombe Abbey, St Mary's Ascot, St Paul's School for Girls, Godolphin and Latymer, North London Collegiate, City of London School for Girls, South Hampstead, Highgate and Francis Holland Sloane Square and Regent's Park, among many others. We continue to have success at Sixth Form entry to Westminster, King's Wimbledon, St Paul's, Godolphin and Latymer, Wellington, Sevenoaks, King's Canterbury and Charterhouse.
At university level, we have helped many clients achieve places at a range of top universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, London School of Economics, University College London, King's College, Durham, St Andrew's and many others. Our US consultant regularly achieves places at all of the top Ivy League schools.
Among those sitting public exams, we see a large percentage of clients attain top grades every year, often outperforming predicted grades.
These are fantastic achievements but are not our only benchmark for success. Our job is to work with you and your child to reach their full potential, and to help them find the school or university at which they will thrive.
